Day One: Marseille – Family Christmas gift this year was a trip to Europe for a few days in France and a 5 day cruise. I had only been to Europe once (for a single day to speak at a conference). Stretching the budget, but so worth it so far. With Trin engaged and Thomas graduating, this is our last easy family vacation. Schedules about to get more complicated.

Day Two: Pont du Gard and Avignon – On day two we decided to take an excursion to the Roman aqueduct called Pont du Gard (built 30-70AD range), and then to the Palais du Papes (home to 9 Popes in the 1300’s – 1400’s). Beautiful countryside and amazing sites.
